During Thanksgiving week I did many things. I finished reading the novel Night by Elie Wiesel and also book called Bless me, Ultima. I also started to read two, English translated Chinese novels. I watched a Harry Potter marathon. We watched all the movies. During the break I had to write three essays for English. Thanksgiving day was very eventful. It was my dad’s birthday,Lusito’s birthday and my cousin gave birth to her first son. I did a lot of baking that day. I made a cake for my dad and one for Luisito. I also made three cheesecakes and two nutella cheesecakes. Lusito a birthday party so we went over for a while. Finally at six we left to have thanksgiving at my aunt's house. A lot of my family was gathered there. Even my eldest brother was there who came from  UCLA after a month of not visiting. All my cousins and I had a nice conversation while eating dinner. My aunt Flora was also there and we are glad she is better and hopes she takes  better care of herself.

Manners

This statement shows how having manners is one of the main aspects that  define us as people. People do not like to associate with people without manners. Man without  manners is found to be  very disrespectful. Man with manners is praised and always welcomed. A simple  thing as manner is a huge aspect that  decides how people view us. Having or not having manners is  something we decide as  people.

This statement shows how the truth is must always be said and how the  right must always be done. Not doing the right thing and not saying the truth is what is moral all should follow. Saying what you know is not true can cause many problems, such as starting and spreading rumors. What is right is some that must always be done. Many people know that  this is the correct thing to do. However, there may be people who need guidance.

Thanksgiving and thanksgiving day

Thanksgiving did not become an annual feast until 200 years after the original feast.Thanksgiving did not become a national holiday until the year 1863.  The date of when thanksgiving is has been changed various time before the date it has today. Thanksgiving on the fourth thursday of November. Turkey and traditional food  usually eaten on thanksgiving were most likely not eaten when the pilgrims were around.The first thanksgiving celebrated the harvesting of the crops the pilgrims had.

3. I am thankful for my health and for the health of the people I love.
4. I am thankful for the food I eat and clothes I have.
5. I am thankful for the my mom who works really hard.
6. I am  thankful for all the book that I read to gain new knowledge

Doing what is right, fair and honorable

“Doing what is right ,fair and honorable is more important than winning or losing.”- Chick Moorman

This statement shows the how a  victory is not a victory unless won fairly. There is no real happiness when you  win  by cheating. Being honorable and doing what is right is much more meaningful than winning or losing. Happiness is only accomplished when doing what is right.

Veterans Day

1. It is the anniversary of World War l to honor U.S. veterans and victims of all war.

3. To thank Veterans of their services in the war.

7. On veterans day we celebrate my uncle who is a veteran. We  usually have a barbeque.

8. I find it really nice that we take time to recognize and thank the people who serve our country.I feel that this holiday is well deserved to all the veterans and families who have either fought in war or lost a loved one to war.

Many people miss the opportunity to choose the right because they are afraid to stand up for what is right. People are also  pressured into agreeing with what other say or tell them to do. Say no. No matter the way they try to convince you say no.You know the right and should always choose the right.

This statement shows how the people you associate with contribute to the person you become. Choosing to hang with the wrong people, who stay out  late,smoke ,drink alcohol., can get you into big problems or  trouble. However, when you hang out with responsible people, people with know to  trust you. People  will  acknowledge you as a person who is wise,responsible and some whom they can trust.

This statement shows how people the best way to feel good is by doing good.Doing the right thing is the best thing to do when trying to relax. There is no other thing that will make you  feel good as it does when you do the right thing. Many people do not know that by doing the right thing they will be happy.
